Prohibition, Elliot Ness, Louise's Grocery Store...
Johnny's Bar early days
Passage of the 19th Amendment brings an end to prohibition. Cleveland’s Safety Director Elliot Ness and his team raid illegal liquor operations as the Board of Liquor Control licenses operators for legal distribution. Louise’s Garden, the Santosousso family grocer, is one Cleveland’s first to receive a permit for liquor sales.
